Tribute to a friend and a lecturer
Sigh...
News of people passing on, coming one after another. First Steve Irwin. And now...
On 2nd Jan 07 - news of a friend who left this world left me shocked beyond words. Was in a daze that entire day. She will forever be remembered for the distance she would go for a friend, her helpfulness, her desire to live a beautiful life and her outstanding physical stamina. Will always remember how she went all her way out with her thoughfulness to help out a fren who has to work overseas. She has not led an easy life. Yet, she strives to make other people's lives better.
And now, Prof Rajah, known to me as Dr Ananda during those days in NUS, passed away on 09 Jan 07. He was twice my tutor for 2 separate modules. And I will always remember him as the humble, friendly, jovial, patient and helpful teacher tutor, who has never assumed the air of someone more superior than us. Will also remember his chuckle and how he was always holding a cup of coffee.
I just hope that I don't receive more of such saddening news for a long time to come.
